Washington LSWA-IC and LICSW
In Washington the clinical license is the Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). This license requires specific experience and supervision in the area of mental health and completion of the ASWB clinical exam. In order to obtain the LICSW you must first become a Licensed Social Work Associate-Independent Clinical (LSWA-IC). This license allows you to gain supervision toward the LICSW.
