Missouri LCSW and LAMSW Licensure

In Missouri the two professional social work licenses are the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the Licensed Advanced Macro Social Worker (LAMSW). Both of these licenses require the Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW) credential. Upon completion of the LMSW the social worker can specialize in either. Missouri LMSW

In Missouri the masters  level social work license is the Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW). In order to qualify for the LMSW a masters degree in social work is needed. Missouri LBSW and LBSW-IP

In Missouri the bachelors level social work licenses are the Licensed Bachelors Social Worker (LBSW) and the Licensed Bachelors Social Worker Independent Practice (LBSW-IP). The LBSW requires no supervision to gain the license, while the LBSW-IP is the advanced bachelors license and does require supervision to be awarded.  The information is summarized in the table below.
