Alabama LBSW and LGSW Licensure
In Alabama the MSW and BSW social work licenses are the Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) and the Licensed Bachelors Social Worker (LBSW). Upon graduation the corresponding license can be applied for through the Alabama Social Work Board. The LBSW requires the bachelors level ASWB exam and the LGSW requires passing the masters level ASWB exam. Information is summarized in the table below.
