Michael Vela Claimed

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker board-approved supervisor and a Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor with a passion to help change lives. I specialize in trauma focused therapy (emotional, physical, sexual abuse, as well as secondary trauma), adolescents and young adults, mental health/psychiatric issues and substance abuse/chemical dependence and multicultural counseling.  I have been supervising clinical and social work interns/practicum students for almost 10 years now and am ready to start supervising individuals seeking their clinical license.  I love teaching and encouraging growth as a social worker and clinician and value what each of my students and interns have taught me as a clinician and supervisor.
