Become a Texas Social Work Supervisor

To become a social work supervisor in most states is a simple easy process. Here are the requirements to supervise in your state.

 

Social work supervisor qualification requirements in Texas:

Become a Texas Social Work Supervisor
1) Hold a valid Texas LCSW, LMSW, LBSW or LMSW-AP depending on which level of social worker you are supervising.  (see statute 781.403 (7) a,b,c,d)

2) Must have two years post licenses experience.

3) Compete 3 hours of education every biennium in supervision theory, skills, strategies, and/or evaluation.

4) Must apply for Texas Board of Social Workers Approved Supervisor Designation (application swform F).

5) Maintain good standing with the Texas Board of Social Workers.
