I've been in the social services field for 15+ years including working with homeless, children, in residential treatment, and in a neurorehabilitation facility for individuals with TBIs. I completed my internships in hospice and at a Community Mental Health access center. I finished my masters degree in 2016 and have worked in a hospital nursing facility, community-based services doing substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment, and a community health clinic primary care office providing therapy as well as working alongside doctors as they prescribed medication assisted treatment for substance use such as Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Vivitrol. I now own my own solo-private practice in Grand Rapids, MI. The majority of my career was using CBT and psychodynamic therapy. I have more recently switched to using more somatic techniques such as Brainspotting to address deep rooted trauma and emotional pain. I am a Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD provider and I am a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner.
